Closing that gap is what technology replication means, and it is why PETRONAS has convened the Malaysia Upstream Robotics Technology Replication Forum. Skadi Offshore is one of ten vendors invited to exhibit at this private Malaysian industry event, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre tomorrow, 30 July.

It’s the third time in Malaysia for us this year. OTC Asia at the end of March, the SPRINT Robotics Asia-Pacific Summit last week, and now this. A large share of Malaysia’s inspection and maintenance work is being decided here, and we are honoured to be in the room for it.

We are bringing two systems you can put your hands on:

Scout 137 confined space inspection drone, from ScoutDI. Autonomous flight inside the asset, class-approved ultrasonic thickness measurement, beyond visual line of sight operation. The inspection goes in, the people stay outside.

Defender compact ROV, from VideoRay, an AV company. The system we deploy for UWILD and in-water survey where the alternative is a dive spread.

We will also be walking through our wider IMR capability and subsea photogrammetry from IVM Technologies SAS, which builds certified 3D point clouds and digital twins of a structure without survey markers.
